Propane Payment Plans
The propane budget payment plan is perhaps the most popular payment program offered by propane companies across the country. Payment programs give propane consumers the opportunity to make monthly installments to avoid unexpectedly high bills following each winter delivery. Generally, propane heating customers are given an estimate of their annual propane consumption for the following 12 months. The propane supplier will then use a formula factoring in your existing propane BTU load and current propane pricing to establish a monthly installment plan designed to cover your entire annual propane expense over 11 monthly installments. The 12th month is typically your settlement month, when a balance is paid if consumption was underestimated or a customer credit is provided if consumption was overestimated. Following the settlement month, a new installment cycle is established for the next 12-month period.
